Camping at Hollows Farm

Our seasonal campsite is open from Easter to October each year. We have two secluded camping fields, with breath taking views of Castle Crag and Grange Fell towering above the campsite.

CAMP IN THE HEART OF THE LAKES

Our campsite is set in an idyllic location nestled in woodland alongside the River Derwent, which is a great wild swim spot. There are two fields to pitch your tents in, our Open Field is drive on and our Woodland Field is walk in (50m walk). We are a quiet, family friendly campsite and we do not accept large groups or parties. Quiet time is 10.30pm – 7am.

All of our pitches are non electric grass pitches. We accept small campervans (upto 6 metres in length), roof top tents, awnings and tents on the Open Field. The Woodland Field has a carpark next to the field and all the pitches are tent only. Each pitch fits one family tent or two small tents.

Rates are £12.50 per adult & over 13 yrs per night, £6 per 4 – 12 yrs per night, under 4’s free. We are a dog friendly site but please keep your dogs on a lead at all times and clean up after them.

Campsite Facilities

Our campsite is ‘back to basics’ and has a toilet block and large outdoor sinks for washing utensils on the Woodland Field, and a shower block 400m walk from camping fields in the farmyard. Drinking water is available on both camping fields. You will need a head torch to walk to the facilities when it’s dark.

NO WIFI or electric power points, and limited cell service on the campsite, a good chance to connect with your surroundings and be in nature!

BBQs and charcoal/briquette fire pits allowed IF OFF THE GRASS, any BBQs or fires burning the grass will be immediately removed. NO BURNING WOOD.

New for 2026 – Hot Hill Sauna is now based on our campsite by the beautiful river Derwent. To book a slot please CLICK HERE.
